Do you need a wedding planner?

It depends on the kind of wedding you want planned. A wedding day is a day of celebration, but a stressful day too because of everything going on. Add the pressures of having a perfect wedding, and you can feel that migraine coming on. Being the groom, I never realized all the planning needed for my own wedding. Since I started shooting weddings, and finding myself arriving several hours before the ceremony, I've had a big wakeup call. I couldn't imagine what it would be like today to organize and plan for a wedding. From the venue, to the photographer, videographer, dj, caterer, etc. it would make my head spin. Wouldn't it be nice if there was someone out there that could take care of all that for you?

Lucky for you there are wedding planners. A wedding planner is basically a professional who organizes, oversees, and orchestrates either an entire wedding or specific aspects of it. Their duties can range from setting a budget to setting place cards, or from culling a list of florists to cueing the band. There are different types of wedding planners. The most common categories include: Full - Service Planners, Partial - Service Planners, and Day - of Planners.

It really comes down on how much help you want with the planning of your wedding. Having photographed many weddings with and without a planner, I can honestly tell you that there is a big difference with the ones who had a planner. The wedding day goes by very smoothly, with the first dance, the cutting of the cake, the bouquet toss, the speeches, etc. all happening on time. As a photographer, I'm contracted for a certain about of time. It's predetermined what time I start and when I finish. There's nothing worse than it being time for me to wrap up, and the cake hasn't been cut, or the bouquet hasn't been tossed. I've actually had a wedding that was almost two hours behind schedule because they were late starting the ceremony, and late getting to the reception. Imagine having all the quest arrive for the ceremony, and they are made to wait an extra hour because you didn't stay on schedule. So do yourself a favor and budget for a wedding planner even if it's only for the Day of.

Regarding Events - Wedding Planner Review

I've been lucky enough to have worked with Anne on several occasions. She was the first wedding planner I encountered, and so far has impressed me the most out of the planners I've worked with. You can definitely tell she loves what she's doing, and can handle anything you throw at her. The one thing that stood out to me over the others is the fact she was even involved with getting the families together when it was time for the formal pictures. The quickest we've done the formals is when she's been the organizer. Why is this important? The quicker we are done with the formal pictures, the quicker the bride & groom can get to their guest.

If you're in need of a wedding planner, then we highly recommend Regarding Events! You won't be disappointed with the job that Anne will do for you! For more information on Regarding Events, just follow the link provide below.
